Tisket Tasket Basket

A-tisket a-tasket
A green and yellow basket
I wrote a letter to my love
And on the way I dropped it,
I dropped it,
I dropped it,
And on the way I dropped it.
A little boy he picked it up and put it in his pocket.
                  1879 Children’s Rhyme**

I happen to think the hanging canopy pictured above is a very cool looking thing.  The top is a basket.

Apparently this is something one can make for themselves.  I believe that is a DIY.

I just recently figured out that the acronym meant “Do It Yourself”.  I know that might surprise you but I have more than enough acronyms in my life (Thank you Corporate America) and quite frankly, since it did not seem to come up in my daily life, I felt I would be able to survive without knowing.

I am not artsy craftsy and get anxiety and feel inadequate if I have to go to Joanns or Michaels, so knowing how to use the tools (even the hot glue thingie) and materials are foreign to me.

Except the basket.  I really like baskets.  I know how to use a basket.

However, I know quite a few people who would like this and several who could make it and possibly a few who will make it.  Of the few who might make it, I hope they can tell me how to do it in very simple terms and written instructions would be the best.  I just don't get how to do projects from looking at pictures or even videos which is one of the reasons craft supply stores give me anxiety and make me feel inadequate.

Here is the link to the article on how to make this cool hanging basket canopy thingamajig.

I also really like the sofa but feel pretty certain that it is something I would need to buy and not DYI.

**I never like to pass up a chance to spout trivia.  In 1938, Ella Fitzgerald had a hit record with a jazz version of the 1879 children’s rhyme, “A Tisket, A Tasket”.
