TGIF and Disco Friday

It is Friday therefore it is Disco Friday in my little world here in Anchorage, Alaska.








And boy do I need it today…  I feel like Howard from The Big Bang Theory who once had an asthma attack from reading an old library book.  It wasn’t an old library book but a box with old paper files I had been sent from Seattle last year.  I opened it up to go through it and BAM, asthma attack and had to take several hits from my asthma inhaler.  Because albuterol is basically speed, I was awake at 1 am this morning and eating cookie dough & brownie twist ice cream (which was very yummy) and still wide awake at 3 am so I am dragging a bit this morning.   

 

As I always say, Disco music is all about the music and beats, the words are immaterial most of the time.  “Knock On Wood” was such a great song to dance to but I learned years later that Amii Stewart’s version in 1979 was a remake of a song from 1966 by Eddie Floyd.  I actually like both versions and have links for you to go out and take a listen to but be warned, you might just find your toes tapping.
